Dear Friday

Photobucket

Dear The Villages, Thank you for giving my husband a chance at this job, now please hire him :)

Dear Kinslee Grace, Mommy loves you so much and cannot believe how big you are getting. You are almost 2 months...slow down please.

Dear Bills, I loathe you!

Dear sister, We are so excited for your visit!

Dear Seamus, I hope your crazy spells of biting the air is not a sign of neurological issues. Hopefully it is just your anxiety.

Dear Vet, Please call me and give me the results to Seamus's blood tests and give me good news please. Oh and stop taking all our money.

Dear God, Thank you for everything in my life, the good and bad, I know you are working in our life to make us stronger.

15 Day Challenge: Day 15

Life of Love

I am sad that today is the last day of the challenge. I really enjoyed it and have found new blogs to follow. It also was a great way to get me in the routine of blogging daily.

What's the best compliment you've ever received?

I am not sure what the best compliment was I have ever received but the compliment that means more to me than anything is when my husband tells me that he and our daughter is blessed to have me as a wife and mommy. Those words make my heart smile and I love hearing them :)

I hope even though the challenge is over that you will continue to stick around my blog!

15 Day Challenge: Day 14

Life of Love

Ugghh I fell behind a day. My mom was here this weekend so I forgot to post Day 14.

If you were to only allowed to watch one movie for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Sweet Home Alabama is one of my favorite movies and I could watch it over and over with out getting tired of it.

15 Day Challenge: Day 12

Life of Love

What are you most looking forward to in the next six months?

I am looking forward to all the first with my precious baby and moving back to Florida. Everyday Kinslee is changing and advancing in some way. It is an amazing experience to watch. Today she is 7 weeks and already laughs and giggles, she just started doing this on Tuesday.

We are trying to move back to Florida because we want to be close to our family, we have no family here in Georgia. We have been putting applications in for my husband for firefighting jobs but have had no luck yet. We are trusting in God to open a door for us because we know Florida is where we need to be.

15 Day Challenge: Day 11

Life of Love

What is one thing you would never change about yourself?

There are two things that I would never change about myself. The first is the positive outlook in life. I can see the positive in most situations, I do not dwell on the negative very often. However, I am human so I do every now and again let negative things get me down but I do not allow it to linger very long. There are so many people that are negative and sometimes I do not understand how they live like that.

The second thing is I do not hold grunges and am able to forgive fairly quickly. To me holding grunges is not good for a person or relationships in their lives. People often hurt my feelings because I am sensitive but I try very hard to think about the situation and see where they were coming from. Sometimes people do not mean what they say. Often times I say hurtful things but did not mean it the way it came out of my mouth. I defiantly have word vomit.

15 Day Challenge: Day 10

Life of Love

What is your most embarrassing moment?

Honestly I do not get embarrassed very often because I grew up with my uncles trying to embarrass my sister and I all the time. I have also dated many guys that would try to embarrass me and my husband loves to try to embarrass me in public. I hardly every get embarrassed any more but I think the most embarrassing moment in my life was when I was a junior in high school. I had a huge crush on this guy and he liked me as well. We were at his house with about 4 other people and we were walking down the hallway next to the laundry room and I slipped and fell on my butt. I guess the washer had leaked so there was a puddle. Once I stood up my butt was wet and looked like I had peed my pants and everyone of course made fun. If this was to happen now I would just laugh about it but then I was so embarrassed.

I almost wish I had a better one for you but there ya go :)

15 Day Challenge: Day 9

Life of Love

Describe the best day of your life to date.

The best day of my life, hands down is the day my daughter was born!! I can not even begin to describe the feeling of meeting your child for the first time. When the doctor put Kinslee on my chest for the first time I was in awe,I could not believe how beautiful she was and how god blessed me with this perfect baby. It was also amazing to see how my husband reacted (he cried, it was so sweet) when she was born. I could not imagine it being more perfect. Also seeing my family with Kinslee was great, their eyes lit up and I could see their hearts smiling. I have to say we are very blessed to have such a loving and supportive family.

Mommy's sweet baby girl!!

15 Day Challenge: Day 8

Life of Love

Describe the good, the bad, and the ugly about yourself.

Good
I have a big heart and enjoy helping others. I am also a good listener. I can find the positive in most situations and I am a very happy person.

Bad
I curse a little too much for my liking. I am working on it though. Its not like every other word that comes out of my mouth is a curse word but I still think the small amount I do is too much!

I also have a hard time sticking to things or finishing things. I too am working on this.

Ugly
I hold things in and when I explode it is not pretty. When I explode I look like a psycho but I really am not just over it.

15 Day Challenge: Day 7

Life of Love

Recommend a good book for us to read.

I recommend the Queen of Babble series by Meg Cabot! I really enjoyed this series and in fact read these 3 books within 3 days. They are very easy reads and stir all your emotions. I laughed out loud so many times, I felt embarrassed Lizzie and at moments sad.

15 Day Challenge: Day 6

Life of Love

What is something you have always wanted to do but haven't? Why not?

I have always wanted to go on a huge shopping spree with a stylist! I haven't been able to do it cause I would need a good chunk of money and I have other priorities right now. The clothes do not have to be super expensive I just want a stylist to help me update my closet.

I also want to travel all over the world but again I have to have money for that.

15 Day Challenge: Day 5

Life of Love

If you could have dinner with any five people, who would they be?

My 3 deceased Grandparents: Unfortunately all 3 of my grandparents died when I was young. I knew my grandparents as a child but I didn't get to know them as an adult. I would love to have dinner with all 3 to learn their stories, their struggles and their successes. The only things I know about my grandparents is what my parents tell me but I would love to learn more.

Reese Witherspoon: I think I could be friends with Reese and learn a few things from her. She is a good person and has great style! I would just want to have dinner as friends not as a star struck fan.

Jillian Michaels: She is such a strong women but mostly I would want to ask her if you would train me to get fit. She is a huge inspiration to me because she struggled with weight problems as a child and over came it. I too have battled weight issues as a child but also have over come it but since having a baby I feel uncomfortable in my skin and am ready to get into shape.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy Birthday America!

It is Kinslee's 1st 4th of July and she will be 6 weeks tomorrow! Since she is so young we just stayed home all day playing and cuddling! We plan on watching fireworks on TV, daddy is at work. Since he is a firefighter he is making sure nothing catches on fire as the fireworks come down.

We hope everyone has a great day and stay safe :)

15 Day Challenge: Day 4

Life of Love

What's Your Favorite Childhood memory?

As odd as this sounds I blocked out a lot of my childhood. I truly do not remember many things but out of the ones I remember my favorite is when my Grandma Helen would pick up my sister and I and spend the day with us. We would go to breakfast at a place called Alfie's, I remember my sister and I would get chocolate milk and at Alfie's they put whipped cream on the chocolate milk. We thought that was the best thing ever. After breakfast we would go to Macy's in the mall and our Grandma would buy us a beach towel a piece. Not just any beach towel, later in the day we would be going to see a new movie such as Pocahontas or Hunch Back of Notre Dame, she would buy us a towel that matched the movie we were going to see. After Macy's we would go back to her house and watch TV and play until the movie started. Those days were great and I am so glad I have held onto those memories and only wish there had been more days with her.

15 Day Challenge: Day 3

Life of Love

Tell about an article of clothing that you are deeply attached to.

I am attached to my wedding dress. It is a very simple dress since we got married on the beach I did not feel the need for anything fancy. My wedding was the best day of my life. I keep my dress at my mom's house and maybe when my daughter gets married she can incorporate my dress into her's some how and if not that is fine too.

Happy 1 month Kinslee Grace

I had this scheduled to post but it never did. Kinslee turned one month on June 24th!

Mommy and daddy are so happy to have you in our lives and cannot imagine life without you! Your 1st month in the world we have experienced many first, such as, the 1st time I held you, your 1st poop (I don't think your daddy and I will ever forget that), your 1st bath, your 1st time going to church, your 1st outing, the 1st time you smiled at me, the 1st time you tinkled on me (I thought only boys did that), I could go on forever about your 1st.

Kinslee you are so alert and aware of your surroundings already, I can tell you are going to be super smart! You are starting to smile when mommy kisses your neck or talks to you. You love to poop and pee right after or during your changing (It is super cute but sometimes frustrating). Everybody adores you and everywhere we go strangers love to stare at you and tell us how precious you are.

You are mommy's whole world and I love it. I enjoy every moment of being your mommy!

Your sleeping arrangement ended up being you sleeping on my chest. I did not want to co-sleep because it is dangerous but when we were only getting a hour or two of sleep each night I just gave in to you sleeping on my chest. We both sleep great now and usually have 3 hour stretches of sleep. You only wake up about 2 to 3 times a night. I have to admit that I love you sleeping on my chest because when you are not close to me I miss you. There is nothing better in this world than holding you and playing with you. We bought a carrier to strap you to me but you are still too small to fit in it.

Mommy doesn't get much done around the house but I secretly don't mind because time with you is precious and I know you are going to grow up way too fast. I want to spend as much time as possible with you because there will come a day where you won't want me to hold you.

I can't wait to experience the next month and many many more months with you!

Reality TV

McHunny and I are suckers for reality tv, we can't get enough. Lately we have been watching: (he would kill me if he knew I was telling ya'll about this :))

The Bachelorette

Love in The Wild

So You Think You Can Dance

America's Got Talent

I watch a few other shows but these are the one's we watch together. I haven't watched this much TV since McHunny was deployed but now I have to keep myself entertained somehow. Now that I am a stay at home wife and mommy I have more down time and also always have Kinslee Grace on my boobs. I nicknamed her My little Boobie Monster :)

Does anyone else love reality TV as much as we do? If so which shows do you watch?

Our Baby and Furbaby

One thing McHunny and I were worried about throughout our pregnancy was how our furbaby Seamus was going to handle the new baby. We adopted Seamus over a year ago and he is spoiled rotten. He basically runs the house...he is allowed on the couches and bed but he no longer sleeps with us. We know he was abused by his previous owners but we are not sure to what extent. Our fear was that he would be very jealous of the baby and try to hurt her. Well he has surprised us and loves Kinslee, Seamus is so interested in her and wants to protect her. Any time Kinslee cries he gets up and checks on her, he always wants to be by her and feels the need to just stare at her. We are beyond happy that he is adjusting so well.

If any of you are about to have a baby and have a dog here is what we did to get Seamus ready for the baby.

- we allowed Seamus in the baby's room while we would work in there so he could see what was going on.
- About 5 weeks before Kinslee was due we put the bassinet in our room so he could get use to it being in there.
- About 4 weeks before she was due we put the car seat in the car since Seamus goes in the car often.
- We would play youtube videos of a newborn crying as often as possible.
- I would allow him to lay on my belly...not sure if that did anything for him but I think it did.
- The day she was born McHunny brought home the blanket she was wrapped in so Seamus could get use to Kinslee's scent. My mom said he slept with the blanket.
- Once we came home from the hospital I went in the house 1st and gave Seamus about 5 minutes of one on one attention. Then McHunny brought Kinslee in and we left her in the car seat on the floor, we both sat on the floor next to Kinslee and allowed Seamus to smell her while we praised him. Once Seamus was introduced we gave him a new toy just to show positive reinforcement.

Our Baby Girl is Here!!

18 days ago I was finally holding my baby girl!! McHunny and I are so happy Kinslee Grace is finally here and we are enjoying every second of parenthood. I am not gonna lie being a mommy can be trying at times but it really is so worth it.

Kinslee Grace was born at 1:52 and was 6lbs 14 oz and 19 inches long. She is so perfect!! The above picture was when she was about 10 minutes old. I loved her cute little cone head and thought she was the most beautiful thing I have ever laid my eyes on!!! I look at her all the time and still can't believe that McHunny and I made this precious baby and I get to be her mommy forever!

I was due on Tuesday May 22nd but was induced on May 24th because I was over being pregnant and just wanted to meet our precious Angel. Labor was intense because I was induced and I was progressing very quickly but once I was given the epidural it was a breeze. The contractions hurt worse than me pushing Kinslee Grace out. I have so much respect for women who have their babies natural because I know I could not handle it. I was nervous about the epidural because I have heard some horror stories but my experience was amazing.

My Doctor and all my nurses were amazing, I truly had a great experience overall! When I first checked in my nurse asked if I minded nursing students being in the room and I had no objection. I thank god for the two girls cause they held my legs and were so sweet and encouraging. Since McHunny didn't have to hold my legs he was helping me with my breathing and pushing my back up so I could bare down and push. I truly wish every women could have such a good experience like I did!

I will update more pics and stories of Kinslee Grace but below are some preggo pics since I have yet to post them.

Sunday Social

Sunday Social
Happy Sunday everybody :) I saw this link up by Neely and Ashley and figured this is what I need to get back into blogging. How did you come up with your blog name? My husband and I always say that we are living the dream...you know the American dream...so that is where it comes from :) What is your favorite thing about blogging? Writing about whatever comes to mind and I love reading others blogs. What is one thing you have discovered because of blogging and now cant live without? Recipes mostly and we all know we can't live without food. Facebook or Twitter? and why? Facebook, I enjoy keeping up with my friends lives and showing off pictures of my baby girl! If one celeb read your blog who would you want it to be? Mila Kunis cause I think she is a pretty cool chic. What is something you want people to know about your blog? I am very random and honest. Sad thing is I do not blog nearly as much as I want to but I am really going to try and change that. I recently had a baby so my blog will probably turn into the joys of motherhood but I promise I will post other things too.

Getting ready for our little Princess

I feel like we are getting close to being ready for Kinslee Grace. McHunny detailed my car and installed the car seat last week!! It is so weird to drive around with a car seat without a baby in it. We are trying to get Seamus use to the car seat in the car since he is use to having full range of the back seat. He wants nothing to do with the back seat right now and just sits up front when I take him on rides. I have almost all her clothes washed and put away just one more load to do and that will be set. I do have to finish her room but I do not think it will be how I want it by time she gets here. I am having a hard time organizing it and figuring out how I want everything set up. I want it to look cute but I want it to be functional. If you have any ideas shoot them my way! Last week I did put Kinslee's vibrating seat together, packed our bags and now I just feel like we are waiting for her. There are a few other things I would like to get finished but I should have those small projects finished within the next few days. As soon as I have Kinslee's room pretty much finished I will upload pictures but right now it is still messy :) Until next time, take care!

This Week = So Done

This week has been crazy busy for me. I would have never guessed I would stay this busy being a stay at home wife. How did I ever get anything done when I was working full time?? Oh yeah I didn't...I think after tomorrow I will be completely caught up on housework and after Sunday I will be finished with classes!! This week has been full of making phone calls, setting appointments, filling out applications, school work and house work. I am not going to lie, I kind of like this whole stay at home thing...until I run out of things to do that is. Some girls I worked with surprised me with a baby shower on Wednesday. I thought just a few of us were going out to lunch to have some girl time and gossip. It was funny how it went down and I was totally surprised. Brooke insisted on picking me up from my house so I just went with it and did not argue. We were all suppose to ride together but when Brooke picked me up she told me Bri and Lauren were not ready yet and we would go pick them up at Bri's house. On the way there Brooke was telling me how Bri forgets or loses everything so when we arrived at Bri's house and she ran outside all stressed cause she couldn't find her keys I thought nothing of it. We go into Bri's house and everyone yell surprise. There was about 8 or 9 people there and her house was decked out in baby stuff. I feel so very blessed to have these women in my life. I have known them for a little over 6 months and they have been such a blessing. Most women would not do things like this for co-workers or friends they have had for such a short period of time. The things they have done for me and my family I can't say my best friend would have done (She is kind hearted but different then these women). I know God has put them in my life for a reason and I am starting to see why because I am learning so much from them (More on that later). Today McHunny and I had our maternity pictures done so stay tuned for the pictures as soon as I get them:) I hope each and everyone of you have a blessed weekend!

Update

Since I last updated many things have changed. We are currently living in Georgia but hoping to move back to Florida in the up coming months. My husband is currently working for a fire department here in GA and I just became a stay at home wife this past week. I was not planning to quit working but because of some unforeseen issues at work I was forced to no longer work. I was upset when it all happened and how it happened but now I am beginning to look at it as a blessing. I get to stay home and keep the house clean, cook dinner for my husband every night that he is not working and focus on getting ready for our beautiful little girl to enter this world.

We still have Seamus and have had him for a little over a year. We could never imagine our life without him because he is such an amazing dog. Unfortunately while I was going through the hard time with work my husband was away with the Army for a few days and Seamus was really there for me. He knew something was wrong while I was crying and just constantly wanted to cuddle with up with me. McHunny and I are looking forward to him meeting the baby and know he is going to love her. We are always going to make sure Seamus knows he is part of the family and not an outsider once the baby gets here.

My sister and mom held a baby shower for me on March 10th and it was amazing! Most of my close friends and family were there and it was so perfect. I have been to many baby showers before but I have to say mine had great food, great decor and great people that just showered Kinslee and I with gifts. Oh and it was not boring with stupid games like others I have been to ;) I could not believe how generous everybody was and just really appreciate them.

I feel like more has happened but can not think of anything else so for now that is all and I will soon post pics of Kinslee's room and my belly.

It's been awhile...

It's been awhile since my last post. I had gotten so busy with working full time, being a full time student and a wife that I totally forgot about my blog. Many things have changed and I am no longer working therefore should have more time to update my blog more often.

I am 35 weeks pregnant and can not wait to meet our little girl in a short 5 weeks. I am so in love with being pregnant, it is the most amazing thing I have experienced. Within the next few days I will get you guys caught up on our lives but for now I am going to go lay on the couch and watch some trashy TV ;)

My goals for 2012

My goals for 2012 are:

Stop biting my nails- I'm going to meet this goal by keeping my finger nails painted cause I wont bite them when they are painted.
Keep a cleaner and more organized house- I'm going to meet this goal by doing something everyday and once a week tackle something that needs to be organized
Graduate college- I'm going to meet this goal by passing all my classes and set up an appointment with an adviser
Put money in our savings-Every day when I deposit my tips I'm going to put 10% in our savings
Be a good mother to Kinslee- I'm going to do this by loving her and doing whats best for her at all times
Become a better person overall- I'm going to reach this goal by becoming more positive, be nice and helpful to others, and always ask help from god to help me become a better person
Become closer with god- Read and try to understand the bible more (this is hard for me) and watch online services to learn more.
Blog more often- I'm going to reach this goal by posting at least once a week about my pregnancy and once Kinslee gets here continue to post once a week to update her growing up.

I think my goals a pretty basic and nothing hard to do I just have to stay motivated.
Happy new year everybody and good luck with all your goals!!!

Best Moment This Week: Kicks and movement are getting stronger.
Movement: Getting stronger! She is moving more and more all the time!
Gender: GIRL!!
Craving: Root beer and root beer floats
Labor Signs: Too early!
Belly Button: Still an innie
What I Miss: being skinny but I know our princess will be worth all the weight gain!
What I am Looking Forward to: For McHunny to feel her move or kick. He is so jealous that I can feel it and he can't.
Milestones: My baby girl is the size of a small cantaloupe!

Sorry No pic. Hopefully by next week I will be able to find my camera USB cord so I can upload pics.

Happy New Year!!!

This past year has been crazy with many ups and downs but overall a good year. 2012 is going to be a great year!! We are expecting our 1st daughter at the end of May. I have many goals for 2012 but thats another post. Just wanted to drop in and say happy new year. I spent NYE at work but got home to Seamus just in time to give him kisses (I love his doggy kisses). McHunny had to work so it was just Seamus and I.

Hope everyone has a great year!!!
