Happy New Year everybody! I can feel 2011 is going to be a great year!! J and I were in Atlanta for the new year which was amazing! We first had tickets to go see Zac Brown Band at the Philips Arena but after we had bought those tickets Florida State accepted the bowl bid to the bowl game which was also held in Atlanta. While J and I were driving up to Atlanta we kept seeing FSU fans driving up and we got excited for the game but we didnt have tickets. After a few hours of discussion we decided we wanted to go to the football game more than we wanted to go to the concert. We ended up finding a scalper to trade tickets with, we got so lucky! Our concert tickets were for 4th row and we ended up trading those tickets for 4th row on the 40 yard line. Only problem was we were on the USC side. Not too big of a deal since we had Florida State fan right next to us and USC fans a pretty cool actually. Florida State Pulled off the bowl game and it was pretty amazing to watch. Intense at times and I got a little worried but they did let us down!!!
After the game we decided o ring in the new year at this bar next to our hotel call Max Lagar. It was def nice to be able to kiss the hubs at midnight unlike last year cause of the deployment. Around 1:30 we went back to the hotel and went to be cause we had a long drive back to FL the next day.
Im happy we got rest for the drive back cause instead of it taking only 6 hours to get back it took us 9 1/2 hours cause there was a major accident on I75 and it took us 2 hours to get 1 mile to get off of that exit and then an hour and a half of detour to get around the accident. What a nightmare, then it poured most of the way home so I was so nervous driving. Oh well it was actually nice to spend so much quality time with my hubs this weekend!!
